Activities

Holiday resort Peltomaa offers both nature and cultural activities. In summer paddling on Lake Tarjannevesi and in Helvetinjärvi National Park, for hiking there are lots of well-marked trails nearby, The Nature Center of the village where Peltomaa is situated has a Lappish tepee and a spacious smoke sauna, both can be used at request.

In summer and autumn angling, picking berries are part of the Finnish farm life and therefore included in the programs, In winter: cross-country skiing and ice-skating,

For those interested in the culture, tours to the museums are arranged at request (i.e. "Kallela", the lake-side studio of Akseli Gallen-Kallela, the famous Finnish painter)
